I’m enthusiastic rather than experienced, and like to spend my spare time in the great outdoors, hiking, biking, climbing, skiing or generally getting into trouble.  I’m also a big fan of cake, tea and books, and will quite happily trail a hardback novel into the backcountry.  When I’m not doing this sort of thing, I’m writing about it, taking photographs (learning from @davidcheeseman) or getting down to work as a research and policy specialist in the public sector.
