“EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” went the noise outside my window.  I tapped away at my computer keys; it barely registered. “EEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” it continued. Now it penetrated my consciousness.
